Beyond being a mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, friend, and phenomenal black woman thriving and surviving all at once; Semaj also holds many roles such as educator, wellness practitioner, rest enthusiast, and the Board Secretary of Black Girl Magic Educational Services!
She is the founder of Semaj’s Treasures, LLC, a wellness company that aspires to support people treasure their wellbeing through movement, rest, and a number of other wellness practices. She has led a few different wellness workshops during Black Girl Magic Saturdays giving girls the opportunities to explore wellness through creative expression via bracelet making.
Semaj is also a Race and Gender Equity Practitioner at the YWCA Madison, where she devotes her career to eliminating racism and empowering women.
Semaj has been with Black Girl Magic for several years, volunteering in a variety of roles, and after her first Black Girl Magic Conference experience in 2018, she knew she wanted to do more with this amazing organization. Semaj is absolutely honored to serve on the BGMES Board!
